Independent Texians

One of the contentions between citizens in the Republic of Texas and the STATE of TEXAS government is concerning the issue of JUSTICE in Government. Texian citizens want to return to Moral based foundations in their government, communities, and in their affairs. Whereas, the STATE continues headlong into ignoring Justice and ignoring moral principles.

The Supreme Arbiter of Destinies, places knowledge and information into the hands of Republic Texians as it is needed for the efforts to secure independence and freedom from the UNITED STATES and the STATE of TEXAS. A book recently fell into my hands entitled "Self-Government by Texans." This was a textbook used in the school systems of Texas in the 1950’s. It was written by a David S. Switzer, B.A. and Instructor in Social Studies at J.L. Long Junior High School, Dallas, Texas and Frank L. Williams, Ed.D. the Assistant Superintendent in charge of Instruction of Dallas Public Schools. The illustrations in the textbook were drawn by Herc Ficklen the Editorial Cartoonist for the Dallas News. The front cover of the book bears the State of Texas seal and inside the cover is marked "THIS IS PROPERTY OF THE STATE." All quotes and illustrations are from this book which was used to teach citizenship and government in Texas schools in the 1950’s.

The primary topic of the book is Texians are an independent people! We do not want to be slaves to anyone or anything. The amazing emphasis pertaining to independence is the same objective of the Republic of Texas citizens. The intended relationship of our Creator and our government is remarkably detailed as no textbook today would entertain teaching such truths. After reading this book you will come to realize the that the Republic of Texas citizens, regardless of their historical claims, their claims of fraud, or their claims of legitimate secession, are Texans who want independence for their Texas and want to be independent once again, as is their right.

The authors list most of the causes that make the citizens in the Republic of Texas want a free nation, free of slavery, free of oppression, free of the UNITED STATES.

The illustration to the left is printed on the title page of the book. If only Dan Morales, George Bush, Antonio Garza, Joseph Hart, and Lucius Bunton would read this Texas school book, then they might realize why the Republic of Texas is back!

"The purpose of this book is...to explain why Texans believe in Self-government." "You are a Texan with many inherited freedoms which belong to you because you are a Texan."

"Since government is a necessary thing, we owe it to ourselves to make it as endurable as possible. Self-government is the answer, for the more we govern ourselves, the less need there will be for others to govern us. Texans...do have [the choice], for self- government is our inherited right."

"If we think of ourselves...with crowns on our heads, let us think of ourselves as absolute rulers. Let us compare ourselves with such monarchs as King Solomon...or other good rulers whose crowns meant something.... We are not content to just appear to be rulers."

"Self-government is much more satisfactory than being governed by others. Free Texans have inherited the right to be rulers of themselves..."

Republic of Texas citizens have indeed come to the realization of their being sovereigns. This concept is ridiculed by the usurpers currently in control of Texas. They laugh at the idea of being sovereigns or kings. Texians know that their power is inherent and are attempting to recapture their land from those who do not understand these things and from those who are committing treason against the People of Texas and their constitution.

"From the hands of the past Texas has been delivered into our hands. Texas is ours today, not because we have earned it, but because we have inherited it from others. ...Texas is ours. It is truly a rich heritage. Yet we cannot be content just to enjoy it. Improvement of Texas must go on. Otherwise, we will fail in our trust."

"In the spirit of thankfulness We, the People of Texas, accept our Texas from those of the past."

The Republic of Texas People are improving the Texas we inherited from the heroes who laid down their lives for Texas, freedom and liberty. Texians are reclaiming their heritage and freeing the People from bondage which has culminated in recent history from the UNITED STATES and the STATE of TEXAS politicians, government and STATE BAR.

The authors of this Texas textbook, if still alive, would be supporting and might be very active in the Republic of Texas objectives of independence. They understood the basis for the Texas Revolution and

they would understand, thoroughly the basis of the 1995 re-establishment of the Republic of Texas by the Texian People.

"Written constitutions meant nothing to Bustamentes, Santa Anna, and other Mexican rulers. The agreements and promises of one administration were not recognized by later administrations. The central government... became stronger as local government... grew weaker."

While this was written concerning the times of the 1830’s, it fits exactly the complaints of the Texian People in the 1990’s.

"More and more liberties were taken away until Texans could stand no more. ...they declared their intention to fight against...dictatorship. On March 2, 1836 they declared Texas a free and independent republic."

One of the elementary and basic concerns of the Republic 1995 Texians is the erosions and denial of their liberties as guaranteed by their constitutions. The fight and goals are identical to the 1830s.

Historically, always a source of dispute between the UNITED STATES and the Texians were the lands taken from Texas from 1847-1850 and the pretended misunderstanding of jurisdictional boundary lines. Republic of Texas historians located a document, called a convention, which was agreed to in 1838 relating to the ownership of the Republic of Texas lands and boundaries. The taking of the lands of Texas was done under intent and fraud, purporting a boundary line dispute and of course federal debt.

"By the Treaty of Velasquez, May 14, the Rio Grande was established as the southern and western boundary line of a free and independent Texas. The Treaty of 1819 between the United States and Spain had already set the eastern and northern boundaries as shown on the map..."

Texas soils were used to form portions of New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Wyoming. This was a direct infraction of the United States Constitution.

"Texans can never forget that at one time our great state was an independent nation. The memory of that independence is a large part of our special heritage as Texans. The constant, practice of independence in economic as well as political affairs is traditional with us. We owe to that independent spirit many of the good things of life..."

It is also our inherent right as Texians to reclaim our independent, sovereign nation status, from the United States, especially since it has deviated from the true concepts of liberty and freedom. This is the purpose of the Texians in the Republic of Texas in the 1990’s. We are not only reclaiming our nation of Texas but reclaiming our inherited right to freedom, independence, and liberty. We are doing this not only for the vindication for the heroes of Texas past, but for the future Texians not yet born. The Republic Texians are making great strides, sacrifices, and efforts in spite of the overwhelming opposition of the Big Brother tactics of the state government and the oppressive methods of the UNITED STATES.

"The first Congress of the Republic of Texas met at Columbia, Brazoria County... Texans have {also} governed themselves..." from San Felipe, Washington-on-the-Brazos, Harrisburg, Galveston, Velasco, Austin, Houston, and Mexican rule was at San Antonio.

"For ten years, 1836-1846, free and self-governing Texans worked, planned, and suffered hardships together. They discovered, as free people have ever done, that self-government is not easy. Their problems were many, their hardships severe, and their dangers great."

The Texians of the Republic in the 1990’s are discovering and experiencing the identical same obstacles. Besides funding problems, lack of international support, and want of candid positive press, the U.S. and STATE continually threaten the arrests of Republic Texian citizens and fined them astronomically unattainable amounts of monetary penalties for being in contempt of their puppet, slave government courts controlled by the STATE BAR of TEXAS. They are fined more money than even printed!

"Texas entered the Union with certain special privileges. Not only did it obtain equal rights with all other states, but it also retained possession of all its public lands---..." This agreement was violated as early as 1848. The governor of Texas sent forth troops to recapture Santa Fe, from the United States Army! Texas Congress, in 1848/1849, voted to secede and impeached the governor opposing secession.

"In 1861 the Texans again felt their inherited liberties were threatened. So they acted as had the Texans under Santa Anna in 1835. They rebelled. In this instance, however, they did not intend to use force. ... An overwhelming majority voted in 1861 to withdraw from the United States. ...Texas voters made this important decision because they believed ... The Federal Government ...proposed to interfere, ... with self-government by Texans, inside Texas. The threat of such interference, they said, would be a violation of their constitutional state’s rights, as provided in Article X of the Bill of Rights."

Through other research, historians have uncovered the facts that the 1861 Congress of Texas voted overwhelmingly to secede and re-establish their precious Republic of Texas. Then in a convention of County Delegates the convention voted by a landslide to become the Nation of Texas, once again. The People of Texas then voted by popular election to leave the United States and return to their sovereign nation status, as the Republic of Texas. These votes were lawful, pursuant to the law of nations and the compact agreement between the United States and Texans. Texas became a nation again in 1861, prior to the Civil War and prior to the formation of the Confederate States of America.

Sympathetic to the other Southern States rights being violated, Texas aligned itself with the Confederacy. The Confederacy immediately adopted the Republic of Texas flag, the ‘Bonnie Blue,’ as the first Confederate Flag. The Republic of Texas flag, not the State flag flew once again, not only over Texas, but since it was the only certified flag of an independent nation, it flew over the Confederate States for a while.

The State of Texas government officials have chosen to abrogate the rights and independence of Texian citizens in a relentless, unlawful, and unconstitutional tirade against the Republic of Texas People who choose to reclaim their nation.

We Texians re-establishing the Republic of Texas have read, studied, and understand the principles, rights, guarantees, and objectives of the Texas Bill of Rights, the Texas Constitution, and the Texas Declaration of Independence. We see our constitution being set aside in favor of central government federalism. We see the parallels in history and the parallels of the Texas Declaration of Independence. Comparable claims the First Texians held against Mexico, are identical to the present petitions of the People of Texas against the United States and the state of texas government. Our Texian rights have been eroded, ignored and abolished by the present governments which are in control. The Republic of Texas citizens are executing their rights under the Constitution of Texas, our rights pursuant to the law of nations, our rights according to the dictates of our hearts, our rights based upon the truth that all men have the inherent right to abolish former ties and set up their own government, free from the rule and interference of others, and our rights according to the foundational compacts, treaties, contracts, and agreements with the United States. We are demanding that our guaranteed and preserved rights to nationhood be recognized, observed, honored and revered.

"During ...the years {Reconstruction Period} following surrender...Texans were ruled by others than themselves. ...our state and local governments were largely controlled by Federal occupational forces and Northern sympathizers---’carpetbaggers’ & ‘scalawags.’ Elective offices were held by men chosen by ...few original Texas voters. The ‘iron-clad oath’ kept all Confederate veterans from voting or holding public office. Many Texans who had not fought refused to vote out of sympathy. For...the same reason only a small percentage of Texas citizens had anything to do with the writing and adoption of the state constitution of 1869. This constitution gave many dictatorial powers to the governor. It also took away many traditional powers of local government and centralized them in that of the state.

Even the office of sheriff was put under the control of the governor."

"E.J. Davis, elected governor in 1869, went still further than even the new constitution provided. First he gained control of the state legislature. Then he influenced the courts of the state. Since most of the state and Federal judges {carpetbaggers} were in sympathy with the governor, the administration’s influence on the courts was natural, though unconstitutional."

"Because of Texans’ bitter experiences during the Reconstruction Period, all Texans since that time have been particularly jealous of their constitutional rights." The Republic of Texas People still feel the bitterness of the Reconstruction. Its frauds and illicit acts carry on today in modern times. Reconstruction attitudes of the scalawags and Texian reactions to them have never changed.

"They {Texians} learned--as people of all ages had learned before them--that it is easier for people to lose control over government than it is to regain control from those who have seized it."

Republic of Texas People are in a struggle even now to regain control of their government. State officials have presumed that it is their right to rule over Texians, and deny the People their guaranteed rights. Attorney General’s opinions are being treated as laws. These so-called opinions have never been tried before a jury or even compared to the wording and rights guaranteed by the constitutions. The military rule of the UNITED STATES has never been terminated in reality & was strengthened against Texians over time, especially in 1933 when President Roosevelt signed the War Powers Act, the Trading with the Enemies Act and declared a war on the American People. This kind of fraud is treason and tyranny. We citizens of the Republic are denouncing their claim to our Texian people, our Texas soil, our Texian inherited rights, and our Texas Republic. The UNITED STATES for many years, subverted the will of the People in Texas, not by stacking the ballot box, but by stacking the voters, with non-Texans in Texas. We recently watched as Canada did the same thing when one of their provinces was voting on secession. Texian patriots were not allowed to vote or hold office. The short history of the Reconstruction Period from a Texas State textbook, reveals and verifies the contentions and historical truth asserted by the citizens of the Republic of Texas. We are facing corrupt judges, immoral governors, inept attorney generals, a brainwashed and subservient media, an ignorant police army, and a war with the state bar of texas. Why would so many state officials be against independence, constitutional rights, freedom, liberty, and Texians? They see their empire crumbling and the People taking back what is rightfully theirs from the UNITED STATES and the STATE puppets acting in concert with the U.S.

So many Republic of Texas citizens cannot be wrong! There is truth in their claims, in their resurrection of the true history of Texas, and in their goals and their objectives. The People are ending a 130 plus year reign of military rule of the UNITED STATES in Texas. In 1870 the government forced the People of Texas to give up their allodial titles to their lands under threat, coercion, and duress. They forced Texians to accept the governments right to tax their lands and to escheat Texian inheritances. The Republic of Texas goal is to end the U.S. frauds, deceptions, and autocracy over Texians. Their military despotism, though cloaked in the appearance of democracy and protection, must end in Texas.

People in the Republic of Texas want our nation returned to their roots, as thier nation was established upon originally. The amoral leaders of the state and federal governments prefer to live their worthless perverted lives, being parasites on the Texian People.

This State of Texas textbook gives a hint that the Creator was once an integral part of our nation of Texas. In a scant forty years the apostasy and hypocrisy has become manifest and the purveyors of this godless reality are in control. The Republic Texians want to end their immoral reign forever.

"Since their childhood days... ministers read...the story of creation of the world as revealed in the opening passages of the Book of Genesis. The climax of that story--’and man became a living soul’-- had brought hope and self-confidence to mankind throughout the ages. The dignity and worth of the human individual, which is stressed in the Genesis story, has ever been, the highlight of our ...democratic ideal. This ideal recognizes the fact that every normal, newborn baby comes into the world fully prepared for a life of freedom."

"Any ... government can easily degenerate into a slave government. A slave government, therefore, is one in which the people serve their ruler. They have to give ...as much as he demands from them. Under the Egyptian form of government, the Pharaoh was the absolute ruler It was slave government."

"Slave government at its worst may be described as follows:" Note that the People of the Republic of Texas contend that the UNITED STATES and STATE of TEXAS GOVERNMENTS have degenerated into slave governments, according to the following, also:

  1. All powers of government are concentrated in one central governing power {slave government}.

  2. This central governing power {slave government} makes the laws, interprets the laws, and acts as the supreme judge in respect to all laws. It controls for the capital city the administration of government even at the farthest boundaries. All district, provinces, and other subdivisions are ruled over by agents of the central governing power {slave government}.

  3. The central governing power {slave government} commands the armed forces and decides upon all matters of foreign policy. It also controls all police forces--local, provincial, and national.

  4. The central governing power {slave government} holds ‘in trust’ all property, public and private, It can assign to its friends and supporters as much of this property as it wishes. It can take away from ‘enemies of the government’ all that they have.

  5. All business, industry, agriculture, trades and professions are completely subject to the central governing power {slave government}. On its own authority, it decides what services, goods, and money shall be paid to government.

  6. The central governing power {slave government} has many ways bywhich it may quiet unrest and dissatisfaction among its subjects and slaves. It gives bribes to those who are too strong to be controlled by force. It grants favors to those whose loyalty and co-operation are needed. For the masses, there are the whip, the prison, the torture chamber, and the executioner.

  7. The central governing power {slave government} considers dangerous all education which is not dictated by it. Insofar as possible, {or whenever convenient to achieve its goals} it makes religion the partner of government."

Today’s governments from the city level to the federal level have degenerated into slave governments. The Republic of Texas citizens have been bringing many of the treasons, atrocities, and tyrannies to the forefront. They have published, openly, without shame, without fear, the enslaving tactics of the governments and the leaders {rulers}.

The Republic of Texas maintains that the governments of the U.S. and States are operating under these illegitimate principles:

  1. All political subdivisions are now subject to the federal government’s authority and rule.

  2. The federal government forces laws upon citizens through its own congress, through its own beaurocracies, and through its own federal judicial decisions. They force state laws to be passed through bribery of federal moneys. The Texas State Bar has manipulated the legal system to force laws to make their state controlled entity the master of the legal system. The People were removed from the picture. They are trying to make Bar membership a requisite to be an elected member of congress.

  3. The federal army and the federal police forces have descended upon Texians and murdered them. The state and all officers of the legal system approved the action, by direct approval or approval by their silence. The federal government has taken over the state, county, and city level police forces through bribery, by offering funding for certain achievements and activities. The governments have sanctioned the use of unlawful and unconstitutional arrest warrants.

  4. The federal government, through the federal reserve system, has attached by lien all property of the Americans. The state has through its fraudulent titles scheme of 1870, claimed all title to land and property in Texas, evidenced by the deception of certificates of titles to property rather than full title to property. The state and its subdivisions lien all lands every year to secure and force taxes to be paid on said properties. Property is stolen from the People by the federal and state judges, acting in concert with the government and is treason against the People. Even the People are considered chattel property by the government.

  5. All commerce is fully controlled and manipulated by the federal government. Even the state has little control over commerce. The state does manipulate and control all professions and trades and businesses through its licensing schemes. A false money system was put in place, taken outside the authority of the People and their duly elected officials, changed unconstitutionally from money of intrinsic value to paper money, and the control of the flow of currency is not governed by the market place, the vote of the People, but by the same people printing the paper. A thin air money, called monetized banking, has enslaved the people with an incalculable debt.

  6. The federal government keeps its slaves and puppet governments in control through federal revenue sharing. All the moneys, the People’s tax money, is returned to the state and local governments with federal strings attached. Dissenters of the current practices of all the governments are imprisoned with unconstitutional arrest warrants, writs of attachments {which are only supposed to be used for property}, and unlawful imprisonment without charges, or with fraudulent charges.

  7. The government has removed any symbolic local parental control of the education system. The government has taken over all controls of the schools and controls private schools through licensing, rules, laws, and grants. The National Education Agency and the Texas Education Agency are government arms to fully control the education processes and students. The IRS 501C-3, tax breaks and perks (bribes) to ministers and churches have assured that churches fall in line with federal wants. Religion is acceptable, God is not.

Texians wake up! The Republic of Texas is your only chance to stop all of these treasons!

"The Americans...were influenced by the ancient experiments in democracy...The first medium was the Bible. Both the Old and New Testaments taught the equality of man and the supreme worth of the individual."

"Most historians credit the ancient Hebrews with developing the first organized plan of democracy. Soon after the Israelites took possession of the land of Canaan, each of the tribes was assigned to a certain part of the land. In each section there was complete self-government. Each tribe had its own rulers....These rulers...were considered to be the servants, not the masters, of the People.

The tribes were bound together by their common worship of one God, whose sanctuary at Shiloh housed the Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant. Shiloh, therefore was the official capital.

The whole philosophy of government, as developed by the Hebrews, might be summed as follows:

‘Every man is equal to every other man. Only God is supreme.’

...the Hebrews voluntarily gave up their ...self-government for the ‘security’ of a centralized, national power. The Biblical story, as told in Chapter 8 of the First Book of Samuel, was familiar to practically all Americans as to what they could expect. His reply, as given in verses 11-18 of the King James version, is quoted below:"

"The contributions of the Hebrews to our American way are very great. First and foremost, ...was the concept of the dignity and worth of the human individual. Second, was the foundation of the philosophy...all men are created equal. Third were the Ten Commandments. The laws of Moses form the basis of all our modern laws, They also indirectly influenced American democracy through their contributions to Hebrew democracy. These laws might be said to have been the constitution of the Hebrews. The Hebrew commonwealth was a theocracy, which means, ‘God is our government.’ Fourth was local self-government. The successful government by tribes in the Land of Canaan was, ...comparable to our American ‘sovereign nation composed of sovereign states.’

Warnings from the Hebrews may be summed up as follows:

The totalitarian government of the Philistines with its powerful fighting forces constantly menaced the Hebrews. Pressure mounted. The elders were frightened into believing that their only security lay in the military effectiveness resulting form a centralization of power. They therefore demanded a monarchy. They had not learned that democracies cannot only compete with, but in the long run can triumph over, totalitarian states."

The achievements and failures of the 'chosen' people were taught and studied in Texas schools less than forty years ago. The text above and illustrations are taken directly from a Texas State textbook, written by Dallas school instructors. What has happened to cause the governments to forsake its roots?

The Republic of Texas is offering the once in a history opportunity to allow parents and communities to bring back this type of instruction, this kind of factual truths, and the relevance of a Creator to our everyday government and lives!

Texians cannot have leaders who say "I am not a thief!" when they are thieves. They are liars! Texians cannot have leaders who openly endorse that which is prophesied against --- New World Order!

"Man’s experience ...proves that: (a) People have ever been in most danger of losing their freedom during emergencies which call for greater centralization of government. (b) Whenever the wealth of the nation has been controlled by the government, officials of the government have been most easily corrupted. (c) The failure of any group to administer its functions of government according to a written constitution results eventually in officials’ administering their oaths of office according to their own interpretations and interests...."

These types of leaders are traitors to the People of Texas and their constitution. They presume to know what is best for the People, ignoring the ties of the Creator with our freedom and liberty. They fail to realize that the Creator is recorded in the founding documents, which allow their hypocritical views and apostasies to exist on our soil.

We need statesmen to understand and recognize that our Hebrew and Christian doctrines are the supporting foundations of our society. We want these self-evident truths to be taught, objectively, to our children.

The Republic of Texas People are returning to the Common Law. Its roots are Biblically based. It is the law of the People, which is the sense of right and wrong which every individual is born with. When you read the Biblical books of Job, Proverbs, Wisdom of Solomon, Isaiah and Esdras, you find the basic principles of life, of government, of right and wrong, and the source of Peace for mankind to live together.

Our present governments have subverted these ideals, for a godless existence and it is not working! We must change the course of our nation of Texas, NOW, before it is too late.

The UNITED STATES and the STATE of TEXAS have evolved into slave governments and the Republic of Texas is trying, peacefully, to cede from the corruption and frauds of these governments. The Republic of Texas is securing true freedom for Texians.

"...free people can accomplish more than those who live under a government that imposes numerous and dictatorial restrictions and control. ...early settlers of Texas... were trained in self-government. They insisted on freedom of thought, speech, and action. They also insisted on being allowed to administer their personal and group affairs without interference by a government..."

"Texas has been given to you and all other Texans in trust. You therefore have the responsibility of preserving its heritage and improving its overall worth." We all have the duty to regain our liberties and freedoms for our Texas, ourselves and future Texians. Texians seceded from the Union, in 1861, and reclaimed the Republic of Texas "...because they believed that some of their...rights {were being} violated by those in charge of the national government."

The same is true with the People of the Republic of Texas, today.

This statement was written in the 1950’s, "At this very moment there are forces inside and outside .... which are organized for the purpose of robbing Texans... of their inherited right to freedom. Many Texans, without meaning to do so, are aiding these enemies by neglecting their responsibilities as self-governing Texans. More Texans ...need to wake up to the fact they must participate to a greater extent.... If they fail to do so, the Texas boys and girls ...may die as subjects of a totalitarian government."

Get involved in the Republic of Texas, now! Help reclaim our soils and rights. Those enemies are now in Austin and Washington and everywhere. How predictive was this teacher’s statement!

The federal and state governments, along with all their subdivisions, county, city, state bar, police forces, etc. are directly and indirectly, knowingly and unknowingly, stealing rights and freedoms from Texians. They do not read or study or abide by the constitutions or their oaths of office. Therefore, they are guilty of constructive treason against the Texian People.

Republic of Texas Citizens are taking Texas Back! It really is a whole n’other country!
